GUI Problem

If I have wishlist results, I go to donwload the contain folder, soulseek show me the files into the folder to the front, OK.
If minimize or close the general window and them close the window that show me the files into de folder, soulseek closes completely.
I've soulseek configured what for, goes to notification area if I push X.
Soulseek QT last build is running over win10 4gb ram AMD A4 6300
With my previous pc, happens the same, win7 2gb ram AMD X2 3800

Soulseek 2015.8.21 research crashed OSX EL Capitan 10.11.1

Like the title says, every time I start a research in soulseek 2015.8.21 on my iMac OSX El Capitan 10.11.1 it crashes my computer.
What happens: soulseek crashes and after this all my iMac freezes and restart.

All shared files deleted (twice)

Hi,
I've been using Soulseek for quite a while now, but in the past month something new has happened. First I found an uploader getting repeated local errors from me. He had successfully gotten all but two files from a folder. Those two files didn't just turn fail and turn red in the uploads list; Soulseek constantly flashed between trying to upload and getting a local error. I looked at the folder and found it was no longer there. In fact, my entire (very substantial) shared folder was gone, except for my own new downloads folder. In that folder, everything but the last download had disappeared.
I keep backups, so it wasn't a disaster. I uninstalled and reinstalled SoulseekQT, and things seemed normal for a week. But I've just found the same thing has happened again.
Any insight? Is there now a problem with having one's download folder inside the shared folder? Have I been hacked?

Windows admin vs standard user

COMPUTER ONE (desktop, no brand, Win 7)
1) I installed Soulseek from an Admin profile and started to use in the same profile. Everything fine.
2) Then — let's say one month later — I decided to create a standard user.
3a) If, with the standard user profile, I launch the program as standard user I get "Soulseek's installation is corrupt or missing. Please reinstall Soulseek".
3b) If, with the standard user profile, I launch the program as Admin it works.
COMPUTER TWO (laptop, Asus, Win 7, original installation)
1) Same
2) Same
3a) Same
3b) Same as 3a
Any ideas?

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error

After repairing my Windows XP installation, I'm now getting Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Errors on 5 or 6 different software programs. Soulseek is one of those. I've searched and installed all the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Librarys I can find but I'm still getting errors. I'm wondering if someone else has had this issue and found a fix. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Can't find my own shared folders in the search option

Hello.
I downloaded Soulseek yesterday because I love finding obscure songs and artists and I've already found some songs I was looking for so that's great.
Of course I'd also love to share what I have with everyone else so I added a few shared folders (and will add more) but whenever I search for a song in one of my shared folders I won't find it in the search list. I don't know if this is because you can't find your own shared songs or because I did something wrong.
I couldn't find an answer in the FAQ and I tried to ask it in one of the rooms (but everyone was talking about dick and they ignored my question) so I decided to try it here.
If anyone can help me that'd be great!

I have a couple problems...

1) Soulseek doesn't restart. After I exit by clicking on the X at the top right corner and try to start the client again, nothing happens. The only way to start Soulseek again is to restart the computer and THEN start the client. This has been happening since the first day I downloaded Soulseek, about a month ago.
2) I can't stop the listening from being closed. I tried to allow access to the port, but it's still closed. I don't get why this is happening to me now when Soulseek was downloading files perfectly fine up until 2 days ago. I might have messed something up, because I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to port forwarding. And yes, I did make sure the firewall is not blocking Soulseek.

Could not connect to server since 3 weeks from 3 computers...

Hi!
I'm using soulseek from over 10years... and since 3 weeks, I can't connect to soulseek server from my 3 computer!!
error message: Could not connect to server. If your internet connection is up, the server might be temporarily down. Please try again later.
So, I check my ports -> no problem, they are open.
I turn off my firewall.
I check to ping server.slsknet.org(208.76.170.59) and slsknet.org(208.76.170.51) -> no problem I've got respons from them...
I use Soulseek 157NS13e on my 3 computer (Win7 and Win8).
I try to install the last version -> connecting ... Disconnected, connecting ... Disconnected, connecting ... Disconnected, connecting ... Disconnected, ...
What must I do!

everything aborted. uninstalled, now won't reinstall

yesterday all of my finished downloads never ended up going into any folder, then all of my downloads started aborting. i uninstalled slsk, tried to reinstall, and it will not let me. keeps giving me option to abort, retry, or cancel... help!
