User [Sonic Decapitation] employing spambot in black metal room

in file sharing I have the top buttons set dl folder, share folder and rescan shares, neither of them allow me to change the folders already shared. there is no right click either...

more griping about bans

I know people regularly complain about things like this, but I wanted to share my experience too, in hope that someone can give me advice, or so I can bring more attention to the problem.
A couple weeks ago I started downloading an audio book from a user. Shortly after starting, I get banned. I noticed my portable hard drive which has my shared files is not plugged in, and assuusername,lack of shared files was the problem, I messaged the user apologizing and asking to be unbanned. I got no response, but a while later the download resumes.
But as I continue to DL, I get banned again. I check my uploads configs and everything looks good. I message asking why. no reply. So I reconnect as a different username and continue downloading. He bans me again, and we rinse and repeat many times.
I understand that my behavior here is not necessarily the right choice, but I had tried to communicate, and in my mind, he had no reason to do this. And no matter how much he bans me, my progress bars fill up - albeit very slowly! They are one of very few users I have found to have the files I want.
They finally message me "fuck off", to which I responded that I would if they gave me a reason. No response, so back to the cycle of bans and reconnecting.
I decide to try an experiment: I waited a few days, reconnected under a completely new username, using a proxy IP, and start downloading something completely unrelated. They have no way to know it's me, right? And after a minute or so, I'm banned.
So what gives? This person says they're sharing files, but bans anyone downloading from them. I get the impression they're just trying to make it seem like they're sharing, so they can download what ever they want, taking but not giving. They could just unshare files or something, but they just ban, so they don't look bad having nothing shared.
Anyway, stupid situation. Needed to gripe.

Help. Soulseek was working...then quit and won't open!

Been using soulseek for years. Just got a new Toshiba laptop with Windows 8. I was using soulseek and it was working just fine. (I love the improvements!) Then last night it just stopped and now it won't even open! I tried reinstalling and I created a Shortcut on my desktop and it still won't open! What happened? Is there a way to fix this? Any help will be appreciated. Cheers!

after coming back on soul seek everything i had is gone!

i was having trouble logging into soul seek so i had to end up reinstalling windows..this process kept me away for a little over 3 weeks..after the reinstallation i had no problem getting into soul seek with the same user name i originally had..but all the files i had ready to download were gone..even my users list had disappeared..there was nothing there..it was as though i had just logged into soul seek for the very first time..can someone tell me is there any way to get back what i had from 3 weeks ago or do i have to start all over from scratch?

Search box handles "delete" key incorrectly

- External keyboard is attached (Standard American)
- iSoul 0.5.0 Beta 1 (0.5.0.b1)
Scenario:
- Click on search field
- Type "foobar", place cursor between "foo" and "bar"
- Press "Delete" key
Expected:
- Letter "b" is deleted, search field contains "fooar"
Actual:
- Text left intact
- Active transfer is removed

It is possible to request downloading of the whole collection by mistake

Not a bug, but looks like severe usability problem to me.
When you're browsing the first level of other user's share and right-click a file or directory, it is possible to select "download containing folder" option, requesting downloading of the whole collection.
Assuming noone never wants to download the whole collection it would be very convenient if that option became disabled in context menu for the 1st level share.

File or folder context menu is missing "reveal in finder" command

I always miss that option when using "Downloads" and "Upload" tables - to reach any any of files or directories you see there you have to navigate manually or use "Spotlight".
Guess Windows and Linux users won't mind to have the similar option as well.

Can't unsubscribe from iSoul chat room

iSoul chat discussions are always popping up even if I remove the room by pressing [-] button. Is it possible to leave that room forever? Or at least prevent the unread counter on the Dock icon from displaying unread message count?
This is quite annoying to get there three times a day to receive a piece of useless text.
