Need some help please. In SoulseekNS, none of the downloads work. After a few attempts at initiating the download quickly turns to "failed". Uploads are working, but downloads are not. Am able to browse for files, but none will download. Using Listening Port 14607 and confirmed my router and client are configured correctly. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm using the current version on Windows with the default usage of the downloading and complete folders. I also have activated that single files are put into their own folder. Previously I used the old client for many years before switching recently.
This error has been reported before but I think I still have it sometimes. It may happen that a file is reported as complete in the overview but the corresponding folder in complete is empty. Unfortunately the same folder in downloading is also empty. This could mean that the download didn't even begin. Or it could mean that the file was downloaded but something happened in the transfer from downloading to complete. It's not impossible, that there was no space left. However I'd then expect that the file stays in downloading and is either periodically checked or at least until the user fires a retry. That's what other file sharing programs do. I don't know anymore about the old slsk client.
Then there are (single) files, that are downloaded completely and also show up in the download folder. But as I have the separate folder option checked, it remains an empty folder in the downloading folder. After successfully downloading several single files I now have a bunch of empty folders in downloading as they are not cleaned up after the file is moved.
I'm also suspecting that the wishlist doesn't behave as before (just one search instead of repeated searches) but I'll test some more before mentioning it again.

One feature i have always wanted is a constant search function of the wishlist. Sure, it searches automatically but its so damn slow. If you have a few hundreds things in your wishlist you have to have your computer on for a week for it to search through them all. Is it possible to change so it searches faster???

Can I send search commands programmatically to soulseek and then download files programmatically? For example If I had an mp3 at 96kps then can I search for it on soulseek using tag information in the file, scan the file list and then download the one that has a higher bit rate. In my example one that is 128kbps?
It becomes useful if one has many hundred or even thousand files.

That exact same error happens every time that my client crashes.
I am having those crashes a couple of months now but every 1-2 hours.The last week crashes occur every 5-10 minutes.
I have tried every solution i could find on this forum and online but no luck.
What do you suggest? Any ideas?
For as long as I can remember, there has been a certain Brazilian user in the indie room, who uses bots to 'clone' other users. Each time he/she is around, new 'clone' users pop up or go away every few minutes.
For quite a while, I've just been ignoring all users with Brazil flags, but that doesn't seem to be enough; Newer Brazil clones pop up after a few minutes.
I'm sure everyone in the indie room would appreciate having that user's IP address banned from accessing the SoulSeek servers.
As reported by other users, I'm experiencing a lot of problems with Soulseek on Windows 8.1 (x64). Basically, I can use the program for the first two minutes: then my CPU goes over 50% and Soulseek crashes.
I wonder if there are some solutions available, or maybe a new version is going to be released to fix those issues.

As I say, a user has a stack of stuff I would like, I cant get any of them as access is denied unless you can provide one of six specific wants they have. Is this what soulseek is about? Ive paid a sub too so thought i could get to anything within reason

I have a number of Users where I have downloaded some files from a folder, but other files did not complete before the user went offline and now when they are back online, I cannot connect with them to finish the downloads.
I get no cue number. When I try to browse them I get the message: A Connection could not be successfully formed to the user. If this happens to you a lot, Check here to make sure your port is open.
When I click the 'Check here' link it references my network IP and states Port 2235 is closed.
My router port forwarding is setup with my local computer IP & Ports 2235(start)-2236 (end).
I can Search, Browse and download from other users and users are downloading from me.
Also note, there was one user when the files I had not completed showed as no longer sharing and I could connect to browse their files. Then, a few days later the files were back but then I could not connect to them. Very odd.
Why are a few of my incomplete downloads no longer able to connect to the users and download?

In the chat rooms, I see that most other users have numbers next to their names that show their upload speed and how many files they're sharing. I show the first number but not the latter. Does that mean I'm not sharing files? I have three folders shared (I think).
Please help, I have been using Soulseek on PC for years and love it. I recently switched to using Mac and I have found that the search results are poor compared to the PC version. Is there any explanation for his and how do I get better results?
I find I sometimes search for artist and album name and get no results and then search for the album without the artists name and get results??
I keep getting the following message whenever I try to log onto Soulseek:
IP: _________Port: ________/tcp CLOSED. Your router and/or Soulseek client needs to be configured correctly.
You may want to check this list of port forwarding guides for instructions specific to your router model.
Don't forget that you need to restart your client if you modify your listening port.
I'm slightly illiterate in this field and could use some help understanding and rectifying the issue.

Hi, i became a new user, register, input mail and login name, but field password haven't, on my email i got letter what i should activate by pressing the link below. When i go to the my account a want to change the password, but where is??? What is my password, i never saw him!!! Please help! By pressing button Reset password, i don't got a new password on e-mail, just have a link to go to my account!
I have been able to use soulseek with no problems for awhile now. Recently it stopped working though. I am able to search for things and add them to my download list... but files will just remain queued without beginning to download. any thoughts as to what the problem might be?

I'm having an issue with the latest soulseekqt client. I have just recently switched over to a new computer and I've noticed that I'm not getting access to all of the files in the search results. I first began to be curious when search results were relatively low for things that normally yielded higher search results. I proceeded to A/B the clients between my new and old computer and I was indeed correct; the client on the new computer showed less results for the same thing.
I have done the following to try to solve the problem:
The problem persists on numerous wireless connections
My port has been opened up
I have turned my Firewall on and off
Ran the program with administrative priviliges
Also I'm not sure if its important but I should mention I am a donating user.
I run Windows 7 on both machines.
Any ideas?

In old Soulseek i easily could sort files by name file or folder or bitrate just by clinking on the column. Now columns are unclickable :<.
