GoSeek App capable of uploading?

I received a reply from an empty share warning from an user who essentially said he was a leech and can't share anything because he was using a smartphone with GoSeek. Is that really the case or was he just pulling my leg? According to the GoSeek page, the app is capable of uploading.
The rules page states: "Alternative clients for platforms other than Microsoft(r) Windows(r) that implement the full range of features of the Soulseek®. Network (including chat, search, wishlist, download, upload, and respect / recognition of privileges) are tolerated." How strictly is this enforced? Are there any third party clients or mobile apps which aren't capable of sharing and uploading? I would imagine this Android app is pretty popular.

157 NS 13e auto clear finished transfers

there seems to be problem with http://forums.slsknet.org/, so maybe you'll be my help.
I remember in older Soulseek version there was a way to make all transfers automatically clear as soon as they are finished. Right now I have to do it all manually, which is not what I am used to.
can anyone remember how this is done?
I had my computer changed and forgot how this was done in the old days.

right click menu on windows tablet

Hi, thanks for the great new client, unfortunately when i right click on anything the menu tries to pop up but dosent, i get a blank section for a second with no menu items. of course tablet pc have no mouse but that should not stop right click menu working as it works in all other programs by holding finger on the touch screen, any help appreciated. thanks.

Server connection fail. PLEASE HELP!

I'm using the old Soulseek 157 NS 13e version and it works like a charm, until I nowdays constantly get the message 'could not connect to server. If your internet connection is up, the server might be temporarily down. Please try again later.'
This is clearly not the case since I, after fiddling with re-installing the program and also trying the new abysmal Qt version a couple of days ago, got the old program working again. It went on without a problem until my Windows 8 operating system rebooted itself for an automated update. After that I was back to square one again.
My ports are open and there is no problems with my internet connection that I can see, since I got the old Soulseek program working again, prior to the automated Winsows 8 update-reboot.
The problem is that now the program simply will not connect to the server and all that I'm left with is that wonderful message 'could not connect to server. If your internet connection is up, the server might be temporarily down. Please try again later.' time after time.
Now, there must be a way to still use the old program without resorting to the new version. I just don't know how?
Please help!
P.S. The new Qt version doen't work at all by the way. As soon as I enter a search value (and yes, the ports are open) the program crashes and the new user interface is much worse than the old one.

Changing PC - Will it erase everything?

I'm in the process of updating my PC and have just bought a new one. I'm afraid that when I install SS (1.57 NS)on the new computer that I will lose every user in my list (even tough I have a login/password for the application). Is this going to happen?
Also, is there any method to export the current user list from my Soulseek version?

Help needed - cannot upgrade soulseekQT

Hi Nir,
I had a PC crash recently that wiped out my client files and had to revert to an older version of the configuration files that were backed up from a few months back. These would not load in the latest version of the client and I had to revert to build "2013-11-20" which was the build that was in use when the client configuration was created. Now I cannot change my client version as it always complains that the client configuration cannot be read and it starts a fresh configuration. So at the moment I'm stuck with this version of the client unless I'm happy to lose all my userlist / settings etc.
Any ideas on a resolution would be greatly appreciated.
I've tried incrementally increasing the build to "SoulseekQt-2013-12-23.exe" and also jumping straight to the current version. Both present the same message and start a clean configuration file.

win8.1 tablet

hi there, I'm running win8.1 on my tablet and I can't do any input on the latest Soulseek Version (SoulseekQt-2014-4-11)
- The pen doesn't work at all, no reaction. Never faced that behavior on any other application.
- With my fingers I can click things, but I can't do a right-click(long press). So I don't know how to start a download from the search results.
Haven't tried it with an older version of Soulseek, so I dont't know weather it's a new problem.
If I connect a Bluetooth mouse it works fine with it.

Connection Problems on Mac

Hey,
I'm new to soulseek so forgive me if my problem is just due to my mere stupidity.
I downloaded soulseex and solarseek since these two programs seem to be the only two working on my Mac 10.6.
On both programs I am not able to connect to the server, there's no default message, it just isn't showing any connection.
Can someone help me on this? Or maybe suggest another program?

Help on installation - Ubuntu 12.04

Hi! I'm trying to install soulseek on my laptop, and it's OS is Ubuntu 12.04 (a linux distribution).
Here's the deal - whenever I download the .tgz at the site and open it, the file that's inside of it is not recognized as a executable. Actually, it's not recognized as NOTHING (unkwown kind of file).
There is any extension I can add after the name of the file so it runs? If there's not, what should I do then?

browsing other's files

I seem to be having a problem recently connecting with certain other users to browse files. For most it seems to work fine, but with certain ones, it simply won't show up or I get an error message saying unable to connect to the user. I don't know if this is some configuration issue, though if it was, wouldn't it be an all or nothing problem, so it either works for everyone or no one? I did get an upgrade in the modem recently from the cable company, so would this change have any effect?

Why can't I search for any files

I've been using Soulseek for quite a while with no problem, but last week it just stopped connecting, so I have upgraded to SoulseekQT from NS. I have checked that the ports are open and it connects, but when I go to search for anything nothing happens. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?
