Is there any way for me be able to see japanese letters in soulseek search ?
I use soulseek version 157NS
if there's any other version who supports japanese letters, or anyway to fix it in this current version (all I see is question marks) I'll be very thankful
For some reason when i get on soulseek , things get added to my transfers and basically i'm downloading random files that i didn't ask , it already happened to me for 1 or 2 files but it wasn't that problematic , now it's non-stop for some reason
It's very anoying so if anyone has an idea of what i should do just tell

I browsed a few of the forums and didn't really see anything that related to my problem. I just updated to windows 10, and have used soulseek religiously for years, and have a general idea of how to work things out, etc; so this is sort of a 'last reach' post.
Since updating to windows 10 - using the QT 6-12 version (I downgraded on some advice for another windows 10 user in a previous post to 3-8/8-3) - All the ports are connected and checked, no freezing, I can search and get results back - however when I go to download, and queue downloads up.. they just sit there, regardless of free slots or not, and after a few minutes they will say "Aborted"; I'll restart them, and again the same thing happens. The download progress bar will load, and look like it's doing something - but nothing happens.

Hopefully someone can provide some insight or useful hints on what to do to fix said issue, because I hate to use torrents (comcast is a butt about using them)
Have been using Qt on a Mac for some time with no problems. Recently upgraded to OSX El Capitan and now when I search I crash - it is otherwise stable.. Anyone else have this issue or am I alone - any solution???

Re all the posts about SSQT not working on El Capitan 10.11.1 I'm wondering if this is a clash with the SIP? Was SoulseekQt-2015-8-21 supposed to deal with this? Haven't found any comments to this effect.
There's certainly a fix where you can shut down the System Integrity Protocol (http://osxdaily.com/2015/10/05/disable-rootless-system-integrity-protect...) however I don't fancy doing that - you have to make sure you've got a recovery disc etc., etc. - all good things but in the end you're then technically vulnerable to more Malware. Regardless of what we think Apple's real motives are here, most software providers are updating with protocols that the SIP will accept (i think!) Eg. Private Internet Access (VPN) has just updated and all is now fine. I know we've just had a recent SSQT re-build (and I am very grateful!) but unfortunately, it looks like we need a new SSQT MacOSX update. Maybe?

So my SLSK client sometimes just crashes and force quits itself with no actual error message, just disappears. When I restart the program, all the downloads that had been started while the last session have disappeared as well as any new users that I've added during that time.
I've had this happen to me a few times and while it's been annoying I've always managed to find all the things I needed again, but this time there were quite a few files queued up and I'm unable to find either the users (can't remember the exact names) or files...
So I'm just about to update the client as I've realized it was a few releases behind but I was wondering if there's a progress file or something similar that remembers queued files or connections that I've started where I could just find usernames the client has connected to and just manually re-find my broken downloads?
Hello. I just installed Ubuntu with Cinnamon and I've noticed that I don't have the option to close to tray as it used to have on Windows.
There's someting I can do about it or it should be fixed inside the software?

Hello everyone, to make things short soulseek worked perfectly the whole year i´ve used it, just yesterday i donated 10 dollars and im guessing god decided im not worthy of using slsk anymore. My ports suddenly decided to close, and i´ve opened them manually several times. This seemed to work at first (since i click on the check port option and they appear as opened), but after a few minutes they close again and im right back where i started. Any help would be mucnh appreciated.
WHEN I'M SENDING FILES TO ANOTHER USER, THE USER I'M SENDING THE FILES TO WILL GET THE MESSAGE "REMOTE: COMPLETE" WHETHER THE FILE HAS BEEN DOWNLOADING FOR SOME TIME OR NOT. IF I RETRY THE FILE, IT PUTS IT BACK INTO THE QUE LIKE A NORMAL FILE, UNTIL IT RE-TRIES THE FILE AND IS INSTANTLY BACK AS "REMOTE:COMPLETE". THE FILE WILL NO LONGER FINISH DOWNLOADING IF IT WAS DOWNLOADING FIRST, OR WILL NEVER START DOWNLOADING AND JUST GO INTO THE "REMOTE:COMPLETE" UNDER THE STATUS COLUMN. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT OR WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND HOW TO FIX THIS IF IT'S POSSIBLE.
Ok new problem now, when soulseek is open i can´t browse the internet, as soon as i close it it starts working again. Also works the other way round, when the browser is open, soulseek won´t work, it´s like they are interfering with each other. Please help.
I've tried everything, and I can't get port forwarding to work. In the Diagnostics tab, under Port Forwarding, I have these messages:

I have tried turning off miniupnp and manually forwarding the ports, but no matter what I try, nothing works. I haven't been able to find any information on what this error means.

Sometimes slsk freeze...whitout crash...only blocked for 1-2-3- minutes
If i unshared the folder,all is ok...

I just updated OS from VISTA to W10. Been running Soulseek QT for a long time with no hiccups. On reinstall, a box keeps coming up that says the following:
"Login Failed: The password you supplied does not match your username. Please change your login settings in the Options tab and try reconnecting."
I tried doing that several times but keep getting the same error. Can someone help me to get back on? Thanks.
Hi... I have no way of sharing files on my computer... there's something wrong with the interface---
the download folder is non-editable, and so is the shared folders section --- no way to edit.
