I just received a message in the Logs in Dianogstics stating a specific file was not found. I went into my share folder and went to that folder, there the file was just like it is supposed to be, I opened the file and it functione4d perfectly. Any ideas as to why I received this message.

soulseekQT sticks on connecting and never does so
Hi all!
So from yesterday till now(don't know if before since i didn't use the program if i'm not wrong since day 29 of november) my soulseek, both the old version and the new one sticks on connecting and never connects. The bird appears always on red and nothing changes.
I already did some stuff to try see if was a problem with isp/ports:
- Made the portforward and appears(61081 and 61082) in my case the open when checking them;
- Checked the firewall and the program isn't blocked;
- Asked a friend that has the same ISP as mine and in the same city, and his works and mine doesn't;
- Reinstalled both the new version and the old version plenty of times;
I don't know more options to try to undo this problem.
Anyone with knowledge of this issue?
Best Regards
Cannot Open Soulseek
when i click on the icon to open my soulseek client, nothing happens. so i tried a few things: first, i tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it and that didnt work. i also tried turning of my windows firewall, and that didnt help either. then something else interesting happened, i came here and my login info didnt work! it didnt recognize any of my emails or my username. so i created a "new" account. but still nothing. When i click on the icon it stays highlighted for a moment as if it is going to open, but then nothing happens and it "un" highlights. please help!! I am using win 8.1, and the latest soulseek qt. also something else interesting happened, when i went to install soulseek, the "soulseekqt setup: installation options" window comes up, i click "next", then "install" and i get an error message saying "error opening file for writing: c:\program files (x86)\soulseekqt\soulseekqt.exe click abort to stop the installation, retry to try again, or ignore and skip this file".

User List of Files Shared Does Not Match Those Actually Shared (Browsable)
I recently switched from Nicotine to Soulseek because Nicotine was no longer able to deal with the size of my shares apparently. It would scan but never created the database even when left to run for hours. Soulseek has done this in seconds in comparison so I'm happy with that. However when you lookup me as a user it shows I am sharing 11 files but if you browse me (at least if I browse myself) I can see all nearly 70000 files. Anyone know what might be going on?
Server down?
Anyone know if the server is currently down..? I can't connect.

libmng1 and libtiff4, if I'm not mistaken, are both outdated Ubuntu dependencies. My friend who runs 64 bit Linux Mint says the 64bit version of Soulseek works for him, so I'm wondering why is the 32 bit one so outdated? Can these issues be fixed? Otherwise I'm going to have to go on a hunt for these outdated dependencies...
Thanks
Soulseek quits unexpectedly
Sometimes slsk quits unexpectedly. It does't crash. It just quits by itself. Can someone explain why?
Tank you.
New build misses translation
Nir,
Thanks for the new build, but I missed the latest translated strings, such as "Immediately upload files smaller than ...Kilobytes. I hope you will add the latest translated strings in the next build.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Paypal privileges ???
Hello ,
I "bought" some privileges by making a donation to Soulseek -
So I'm normally in the top ranks for downloads - Can you explain me please
WHY with certain Soulseek users I find myself in rank 900 or even
3700 in the queue ????
Best regards - Yannick.

Bring Soulseek to front
I have Soulseek opened all day and I hate how it occupies space on the bar, but I can't hide it on the tray either as I have the tray hidden http://i.imgur.com/CZHMGH8.png and it doesn't come up to the screen with anything...
I tried running a script that opened the .exe (in my case it's C:\Program Files (x86)\SoulseekQt\SoulseekQt.exe), but out of all the million programs I have this is the only one that doesn't come to the front when you click on it's .exe...
I also tried the following AHK script to no avail
#WinActivateForce
^!S::
SetTitleMatchMode, 2
IfWinExist, - Qt5QWindowIcon
{
WinActivate, - Qt5QWindowIcon
}
IfWinNotExist, - Qt5QWindowIcon
{
Run C:\Program Files (x86)\SoulseekQt\SoulseekQt.exe
}
return
This guy qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/44301 tries to do the same in other language with this very same client, but for some reason it just refuses to show up when you call it...
What the fuck do I do??? This is driving me bananas!
linux 64bit minimize bug
hi, thank you for providing new updates for linux client. on the 64bit build under xfce i am having an issue where the soulseek window will not minimize when i press the "show desktop" button. it will minimize for a split second then immediately appear back on the screen. also, when i single click it on the taskbar it does the same thing. it only works if i right click on the taskbar button for slsk and click "minimize". this does not occur with any other apps.
blacklisting some of my share folder
Hi there, first I'd like to say that I'm really glad to have found this awesome community !
I'm sharing a huge share of my music library, but as it's under the form of an itunes library I'd like to be able to filter out some of the items it contains, mainly because it's friends demos etc. is there any way to do that (without having to select all of itunes subfolder but the one u don't want) ?
Thanks a lot
qt version for mac playing up
Hi everyone. I am new to mac and I've trying different p2p softwares, I was quite happy with the windows versions for slsk, although I am having issues with the most basic tasks of the interface, like keeping open the dialogue of the right button to select my downloads, browse files, etc? Does anyone else experience similar issues? How can I avoid it? many thanks
Occupied port issue
Hi,
Trying to forward relevant ports on a Belkin router and even though it appears that the ports are free, keep getting "ports are occupied" when I attempt to save my settings for TCP. "Netstat" command shows nothing. Ports 64694 and 64695.
Muchos danke
Upload speeds slow. Bandwidth options?
using soulseekqt build 2014.12.19. haven't used soulseek in a few years really. first time on qt. i can't find bandwidth options anywhere and wondering if there are any. i'm searching for them because my speeds seem way too slow, and was wondering if something was capping them. i've shared with 3 users so far and i get from 60k to 80k up speeds when i can easy exceed 1 MB up speeds with my provider using other programs. any thoughts?
Possible to make new downloads appear at bottom of Transfers instead of under username?
Hello, I'm a brand new member to the forum but have been a slsk user going on a decade now. I've always loved Soulseek, but ever since I began using QT and started racking up downloads from more users I find it increasingly harder to keep track of new downloads. As you know, in the Transfers tab downloads are listed by user, but if I download files from a user I've downloaded from in the past they appear higher up in the list and can be lost in a sea of past downloads. I like being able to see my downloads in the order I downloaded them in (like the soulseeks of yore) so that I can find my most recent downloads with ease. I've wasted much time scrolling along a huge list of users/downloads to find the one album I just downloaded. Does anyone know if there is a way to change this or should this instead be a Feature Request?
Thank you.
