How to Get the Ports Open?

I've downloaded SoulseekQT 1/2/2013 onto my mac, with OS X 10.7.5 through a Netgear Router WNDR3700 with the latest firmware 1.0.0.36.

i've configured the mac (mini, 2011) to have a static IP.
I've configured the router port forwarding to open the ports identified by SoulseekQT (when I check "options") - including the "obfuscated" port.

Everything seems ok, except when I test the ports, Soulseek tells me they are closed.

Anyone help?
